About Mel…This is Who I am…
I was first introduced to triathlon in 1993 when I volunteered at the Ironman Canada finish line. Going into that day I would have no idea how triathlon would become weaved into my fabric. I went on to set Age Group records and then on to a professional career where I won Three IM titles and achieved a personal best 4th placing at the World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
However the biggest influence on me has been when I transitioned from racer to coach and was given the privilege to work with an array of individuals on their triathlon journeys.

Each program is specific to your own goals, your race prep and how training and racing fits into your life.
Not sure what race you want to do but know you want to gather a good baseline of fitness this is what Mel calls a “Maintenance program”

Mel is a certified 200hour RYT. She enjoys sharing time on her mat to help people explore and find space. Mel currently teaches at NOBLE Yoga in downtown Vernon. About EHF coaching
EHF coaching or what used to be referred to as Endurance Health and Fitness first started in 2006 when Mel moved from Arizona back to Canada and to the Okanagan in British Columbia, Canada. Mel had the good fortune of working in a Physical therapy clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona named Endurance Rehab and she loved the idea of all things endurance so asked if she could make her spin on the name.
Endurance
Endurance as defined by Wikipedia:Endurance is the ability of an organism to exert itself and remain active for a long period of time, as well as its ability to resist, withstand, recover from and have immunity to trauma, wounds or fatigue. It is usually used in aerobic or anaerobic exercise
Health
Health has been defined by the World Health Organisation as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. It includes aging well, longevity, quality of life, freedom from pain etc.
Fitness
Fitness involves activity of some sort that stimulates various systems of the body and maintains a certain condition within the body.
