About Mel
I was first introduced to triathlon in 1993 when I volunteered at the Ironman Canada finish line. Going into that day I would have no idea how triathlon would become weaved into my fabric. I went on to set Age Group records and then on to a professional career where I won Three IM titles and achieved a personal best 4th placing at the World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. However the biggest influence on me has been when I transitioned from racer to coach and was given the privilege to work with an array of individuals on their triathlon journey.
I have been a facilator for Traithlon BC and Triathlon Canada for their community coaching course for over 15 years. Community is where my passion lies.
Currently I call Vernon, BC home and this is where Endurance Health and Fitness started back in 2006. Located at the North end of the famed Okanagan Lake. The same lake where the Ironman Canada swim takes place in Penticton at the south shore of the lake.
I can’t wait to share my knowledge the beauty of the Okangan and other areas with you as you pursue your endurance goals.
